Real Recfruitment are recruiting for a Bookkeeper to join a well-established and growing firm of accountants based in Beverley. This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail oriented and organised individual who thrives in a structured finance environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, managing day-to-day accounting tasks, and supporting wider financial operations. You will ensure the smooth running of internal processes and contribute to the overall financial health of the business.

Bookkeeper Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and update financial records using – QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage
• Manage accounts payable, ensuring timely and accurate payments to suppliers and vendors
• Reconcile bank statements and record transactions accurately
• Prepare monthly financial reports and support budgeting processes
• Assist with audits by providing relevant documentation and reports
• Monitor cash flow and report financial performance insights to management
• Collaborate across departments to ensure compliance with internal policies and accurate reporting
• Prepare VAT returns
• Assist with personal tax return preparation

Bookkeeper Experience

• Proficiency with accounting software – QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable and general accounting principles
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving
• Clear and effective communication skills for internal and external interactions
