Full Time, Accounting/Financial/Insurance Vacancy In Leicestershire

SF Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Management Accountant on behalf of a well established business based in Lutterworth.

This role is ideal for someone who has completed their AAT qualification and is looking to build on their skills in a commercial finance environment. The Management Accountant will play a key part in providing accurate financial information, supporting budgeting and forecasting, and assisting with the preparation of management accounts.

– Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
– Support the budgeting and forecasting process, including variance analysis.
– Prepare journals, accruals, and prepayments.
– Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies.
– Monitor cash flow and assist with cash flow forecasting.
– Analyse financial performance and provide commentary on variances.
– Support internal and external audit processes.
– Assist with cost analysis, overhead allocation, and profitability reporting.
– Work closely with operational teams to provide financial insight and support decision-making.
– Continuously improve processes and contribute to system efficiencies.

The ideal candidate will be:
Skills & Experience

– AAT qualified (or equivalent).
– Previous experience in a finance role, preferably within management accounting.
– Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
– Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, formulas).
– Experience using accounting systems (Dynamics 365 desirable).
– Good communication skills with the ability to explain financial information to non-finance staff.
– Organised, proactive, and able to meet deadlines.

Preferred:

– Experience with ERP systems and Business Intelligence tools. Sage 300/AccPac and E-Analytics would be preferred.
– Manufacturing accounting experience.
– Prior experience with multi-national companies, exposure to multi-currency operations and VAT.
