Full Time, Accounting/Financial/Insurance Vacancy In Greater Manchester

A leading services business in Wigan is looking to appoint a management accountant into its experienced finance team. The management accountant would suit either a qualified/part -qualified accountant who can produce monthly management accounts and then work with non-finance staff to understand site performance and the key drivers impacting the business. The management accountant role will give the successful applicants the opportunity to work closely with operations and commercial teams to drive profitability and really impact the P&L. 

Key Duties:

Working closely with the finance manager to produce the monthly management accounts and commentary for multiple sites

Developing budgets alongside operations and commercial teams and providing reforecasts to group as and when required

Prepare balance sheet reconciliations

Review and implement improved financial controls and procedures

The Person

Part-qualified or Qualified accountant

A good communicator who enjoys understanding the wider business context

Strong analytical mind with advanced excel skills to produce MI reports for senior management.

Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise workloads
