Private Rented housing officer

£19.81 – £27.44/annum

Full Time, Public Sector Vacancy In Greater London

 

One of my local government clients is seeking to recruit a Housing Licensing Officer on a 5-month contract. The role will focus on clearing a backlog of housing licensing applications, so strong administrative and legislative understanding is key.

Key Responsibilities:

*

Process housing license applications in accordance with the Housing Act 2004 (Parts 2 & 3)

*

Maintain accurate records using systems such as Civica APP (or similar)

*

Work closely with the wider team to clear backlogs and meet project deadlines

*

Ensure data integrity and compliance with local authority regulations

*

Contribute to effective hybrid working practices (minimum 3 days in-office)

Requirements:

*

Knowledge of Housing Act 2004, especially Parts 2 & 3

*

Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills

*

Proficiency with IT systems – ideally Civica APP or similar housing databases

*

Previous experience in a similar local authority housing licensing role

*

Able to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
