Full Time, Accounting/Financial/Insurance Vacancy In London

My client is a growing, independent Top 30 professional services firm with a specialist VAT team supporting international businesses trading across Europe and beyond. The team helps clients navigate complex VAT rules and minimise administrative burdens across multiple jurisdictions.

They are now seeking a VAT Manager to join the onboarding and compliance team, helping new clients understand and meet their VAT obligations in the UK, EU, and other regions. The role blends technical work, client communication, team development, and process management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support onboarding of new clients and guide junior team members
• Review VAT returns, compliance packs, and technical materials across multiple jurisdictions
• Write clear and concise VAT/GST advisory reports (EU, UK, and ROW)
• Attend client calls to assess VAT needs and provide tailored advice
• Monitor tax office enquiries, manage deadlines, and track team profitability
• Coach and develop junior team members through regular 1-2-1s

What You'll Need:

• Strong technical knowledge of EU VAT rules and relevant national legislation
• Familiarity with VAT topics such as place of supply, scope, chargeable event, and reporting
• Experience reviewing VAT returns and advisory reports
• A proactive, problem-solving mindset with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated management experience and a collaborative, team-first approach
• Intermediate MS Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
