Pest Control Officer

£19.05 – £24.94/hour

Full Time, Public Sector Vacancy In Greater London

We are actively looking for a Pest Control Officer to start immediately in Islington, North London.
This role is for a Pest Control Officer to work within a small team to help provide a professional pest Control service to the Residents of Islington.
* Rate: £19.05 ph (£34,671 pa)
Out of hours / weekend and evening rate will be enhanced
* Hours: 8.00am – 3.30pm (35 hrs per week)
* Contract: Temp to Perm
Main duties:
* Investigation and treatment of rodent and insect infestations in premises, including examination of drainage systems, disinfecting and deodorising, carrying out surveys, advising customers, and distribution of relevant literature.
* Responsible for ensuring that persistent infestations are notified to the Pest Control Manager and to make, where necessary, recommendations as to future/alternative treatments.
* Assisting in the initiation, development and execution of pest control initiatives.
* Assisting with the upkeep of the pesticides store including the transfer of materials from point of delivery, sock taking and other similar matters.
Requirements:
* Applicants must hold a BPCA Operators certificate level 2 or a Royal Society of Health Pest Control certificate
* Knowledge and understanding of carrying out both commercial and residential pest control work.
* Have some experience in carrying pest surveys
* Driving licence is preferred
The ideal candidate:
* 2+ year’s experience within the pest control sector
* Full UK driving licence (preferred)
* Ability to be flexible with rota, as and when evening/weekend hours are required
* Experience using a PDA / Digital system
This role is to start immediately after compliance checks and we do require candidates with immediately availability and the experience listed above.
